Our Mission

  • To provide customers with an adequate supply of safe water and treatment of sanitary sewer as regulated by TDEC and EPA.
  • To provide customers with an adequate supply of natural gas as regulated by TN Regulator Authority, DOT, and Office of Pipeline Safety.
  • To provide customers services in a timely and courteous manner and provide accurate and timely billing and adjust rates as necessary to insure revenues offset expenditures.
  • To plan for future growth and utility infrastructure to meet the growing need of our customers.
  • To provide contingency and emergency plans.

Fees for New Service

Water: $30.00
Gas:$30.00

(Additional $75.00 deposit on any rental property)
Gas deposits are also required on any commercial property but vary depending on usage of the past year.

Natural gas is odorless, colorless, and non-toxic so an odorant is added for your protection. There is a serviceman on call at all times for emergencies. Please call (615) 355-5742 for service Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. All other times you should call (615) 459-6644.

If you smell gas, call Smyrna Natural Gas at (615) 355-5742 or 911 immediately. Do not turn electrical switches or other spark producers on or off.

Did you know that you can have your utility bill automatically paid from your checking account? If you sign up for Automatic Bank Draft, Smyrna Utilities will automatically pay your utility bill from funds in your checking account on the due date. Many citizens feel that this is the most convenient way to pay their utility bill. Best of all, there no additional fees for this service. Just complete this application form [PDF] and return it to Town Hall (in person or you can mail it) and we'll get your account set up within a few days. Project Assistance

Giving those in our community in need a hand up with their utility bills. It's easy. All you have to do is add $1.00 to your monthly utility bill. Just ask the Smyrna Utility Representative how to help those unable to pay their utility bill.
